Vinnie’s Match Up
Robust Memory Game
Background.
When my son was 3 years old he started to enjoy playing memory, naturally needing help setting up the cards and wanted mom and dad to play with him. He had a habit of “forgetting” the rules and accidentally moving the cards around, making the game harder for himself.
At the time Godot 4 was around the corner and having had a little experience with the engine prior I was super excited for the prospect of it reaching a point where it becomes my go to engine, at least for 2D games.
I wanted to make sure that the UI was simple enough for my son to understand and the buttons big enough so that using the mouse, despite being awkward for him, wasn’t an issue.
